Follow new updates and improvements to contentbird.

July 7th, 2026

As of July 8th, the AI Content Brain is live for your team in contentbird. It consists of five interlocking building blocks, embedded directly into the workflows you already know: AI Knowledge, AI Chat, AI Governance, AI Image Creation, and MCP Connectors.

Until End of September, every user also receives a generous token allowance free of charge, so you can explore the system without limits.

Here's how to get started:

  1. Open Administration β†’ Projects β†’ Strategy

  2. Add your Tone of Voice, guidelines, and other foundations for AI Knowledge here

  3. Open AI Chat directly from the navigation and ask your first question

You can now control whether externally published posts – i.e. posts published directly via Instagram, LinkedIn & Co. – automatically appear in your contentbird calendar.

The import of external posts can now be activated or deactivated per social media channel. By default, the feature is inactive.

How to activate the import:

  1. Go to Administration > Projects > Edit Project

  2. Click on Social Profiles and within the profile group, find the desired channel

  3. Activate "External Post Import"

Once enabled, posts published outside of contentbird will automatically appear in your calendar.

The AI assistant now runs on GPT-5.4 by default β€” currently OpenAI's most powerful model. Better results for complex texts, summaries, and creative tasks β€” without you having to do anything.

If you prefer to stick with the familiar GPT-4.1, you can switch back at any time: Setup β†’ System β†’ General β†’ AI Assistant Model

Image generation in the AI Assistant has been significantly upgraded:

New model: OpenAI Image Model 1.5 – noticeably improved image quality

Context-aware: The assistant knows your content and generates matching images β€” simply enable image generation and type something like "Create an Instagram-optimized image for this"

Iterable: After generation, you can directly request adjustments β€” "Please change this and that"

Automatic image sizing: Resolution is now determined automatically based on the intended use β€” no longer fixed at 1024Γ—1024 pixels
